Best Friends

August 16, 2007

Here is a picture of some inedible food. The cupcake was a free pattern I found on the web, and the lemon was one I made up last night as my sister and I watched DVDs of “The Avengers.”

Here is our son, Yoda, glowing in the sunny garden.

And this is a shot of Ruben that I just got. He is giving his notorious “get the #$@! out of my face” look.

all four of your BFFs are adorable! are the little amigurumi hard to do (heartachingly cute)? i have like 500 friends with new babies, and think they could all use handmade stuffed animals! i have no clue how to crochet, but have always been fairly crafty…if there’s a book or site that you recommend, please do tell!

Thanks Steph. I have The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller, which I learned to crochet from, but for the amigurumi creatures, I got a lot of help from Bittersweet’s blog. She posts tons of free patterns which can get you started. In no time, you’ll be writing your own patterns. I can probably crank out one small project an hour, if that helps you to picture the time involved.
